Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda B.E, B.Arch. and B.Des Admissions 2019
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program under a wide range of specializations with the total annual intake of 570 seats. The course duration for each of the specializations is four years respectively.
Students who have passed 12th (10+2) level or equivalent in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply for the B.E. programme. However, admission is given on the basis of marks scored in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) organized by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
Aspiring Students may also appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) organized by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Eligible Students who are willing to appear in JEE Mains may visit the official website.
The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda also provides B.E degree on the part-time basis under three engineering disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Admission to the B.E. part-time program is done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. However, Students must hold a Diploma in the respective branch of Engineering.
In addition to the B.E program, the university also offers two other technical degree courses namely, B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and B.Des (Bachelor of Design) with the intake capacity of 40 and 70 seats, respectively. The B.Arch program is of five years while the B.Des program is offered for four years.
Admission to the B.Arch program is done through National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which is organized by Council of Architecture, New Delhi. However, Students must have to pass in the 12th (10+2) level examination with the PCM subject combination and obtain minimum required marks.
Admission to the B.Des program is done through an Aptitude test followed by a Personal interview round. Selection will be done on the basis of the Student’s performance in the Aptitude test and Personal interview.
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Undergraduate Admissions 2019
Apart from the Technical courses, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda offers a wide range of UG level courses in various fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Liberal Arts, Library and Information Science, Social Work and Legal Studies.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree program is offered under twenty-eight different specializations including Foreign Language courses. The duration of all the UG courses under Arts Department is three years.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) program is provided with fifteen different specializations with the course duration of three years for each specialization.
Apart from B.A. and B.Sc program, the university also offers B.Com.(Bachelor of Commerce), BLIS (Bachelor of Library Science), B.Ed.(Bachelor of Education), BVA (Bachelor of Visual Arts), B.S.W.(Bachelor of Social Work), LL.B. (Bachelor of Legislative Law), BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication) degree programs. The course duration and intake vary for each of the programs.
Admissions to the B.A. programs (Apart from Performing Arts specializations) are done based on merit in the previous qualifying examination. For admission to any of the programs related to Performing Arts department [Performing Arts in Instrumental Music (Sitar-Violin), Performing Arts in Music (Vocal) and Performing Arts - Dramatics], Students need to go through an Aptitude/ Entrance Test organized by the university.
Admissions to all the B.Sc programs are done on the basis of merit in the 12th (10+2) level examination or equivalent examination and performance in the Personal Interview. However, for admission to the B.Sc. program in Environmental Science, aspirants will have to appear in an Entrance Test organized by the university.
Admissions to the B.Com and B.Ed programs are done based on Merit in the previous qualifying examination, while for the BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) program, Students have to go through a Written Test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
Admissions to the BVA (all the specializations Applied Arts, Arts History, Painting, Sculpture) and LL.B programs are made through an Entrance Test organized by the university.
Admission to the BLIS (Bachelor of Library Science) program is done based on Merit in previous qualifying examination and performance in the Personal Interview round organized by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
Admission to the BJMC (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication) program is done through an Entrance Test including Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection will be done based on Merit in the Entrance Test (60% weight) and Merit in the 12th (10+2) level or equivalent examination (40% weight) taken together.
